The Cause

At The Muckhorses of Canada, our dedication to giving back to our communities is deeply rooted in our personal experiences and causes close to our hearts. Cancer has touched the lives of many of our players, motivating us to stand together in the fight against this formidable adversary.

For over a decade, the Pencer Centre has provided invaluable assistance to over 5,200 patients and their loved ones annually. With its multidisciplinary approach to treatment and pioneering research initiatives, it has earned recognition as a leader in brain tumour care across North America.

The innovative programs developed at the Pencer Centre have not only transformed the lives of countless patients but have also attracted attention from medical institutions worldwide.

In remembrance of our cherished loved ones who have bravely battled this disease, the Muckhorses of Canada Charity Golf Tournament directs its charitable contributions to the Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Tumour Centre. By supporting this essential and industry leading component of Princess Margaret Hospital, we pay tribute to their enduring legacy and contribute to the ongoing fight against cancer.

The Story

Established in 2015, The Muckhorses of Canada are more than just an elite and highly skilled men's beer league hockey team - we're a tight-knit group of friends united by our love for the game and our passion for supporting our communities.

Our journey began with a shared love for hockey and a desire to make a difference. With five ASHL championships to our name, we've grown into one of the most formidable and recognizable brands in all of adult recreational sports. From thrilling victories to heartwarming moments, our bond as teammates and friends has only strengthened.

One of the hallmarks of our team is our commitment to giving back. To date, we have proudly hosted four charity golf tournaments in support of the Princess Margaret Foundation, raising funds to advance cancer research and support those affected by this disease. Through these events, we've not only showcased our love for hockey and unwavering camaraderie, but also our dedication to making a positive impact in the fight against cancer. Last year's tournament was our largest to date, a resounding success we look forward to building off of.

Beyond the rink and the fairway, we're a group of individuals who share a deep friendship and a common goal: to support and uplift one another, both on and off the ice.
